KASUTUSVALDKOND
ESSVE puidukruvi WAF, millel on 1 kiutera otsas ja TX-pesa, sobib enamikuks montaažitöödeks puitu, puitlaastplaati, vineeri jne siseruumides ja õues.

KIRJELDUS
Puidukruvi WAF on valmistatud karastatud süsinikterasest.
Kruvil on TX-otsakupesa.

Termotöödeldud puitmaterjali puhul kasutada ainult roostevabast materjalist puidukruve.

Frequently asked questions about the WOOD SCREW 6,0X70 WAF/CE TX30/CORRSEAL/C4/ 100TK

What is WOOD SCREW 6,0X70 WAF/CE TX30/CORRSEAL/C4/ 100TK and what is it used for?

WOOD SCREW 6,0X70 WAF/CE TX30/CORRSEAL/C4/ 100TK is a hardened carbon-steel wood screw with a TX30 drive, large low-profile head and Silver CorrSeal C4 surface finish. It is suitable for fastening into wood, chipboard and plywood for indoor and outdoor mounting due to its corrosion-resistant coating.

Is this screw suitable for outdoor use and what does the C4 coating do?

Yes, the Silver CorrSeal C4 surface finish provides enhanced corrosion resistance, making the screw suitable for outdoor use and humid environments. The C4 coating protects the steel from rust under atmospheric exposure and contact with damp timber.

What are the dimensions and features of the 6,0X70 WAF model?

The screw is 6.0 mm in diameter and 70 mm long. Features include a large low-profile head for high clamping force, TX30 drive, a single cutting edge at the tip to reduce driving torque, and separate flute threads on the 70 mm length to ease installation.

Can these screws be used for joists, decking and furniture assemblies?

Yes, the 6 mm diameter, hardened carbon-steel construction and high clamping force make them suitable for joists, decking boards and many furniture fixings. For load-bearing external structures, confirm the required corrosion resistance for the application.

What driver bit is required — is TX30 correct and for which tools?

You need a TX30 torx bit, as specified in the model name. It is compatible with electric/cordless screwdrivers and impact drivers that accept TX30 bits.

How many screws per pack and what is the ESSVE product code?

The pack contains 100 pieces (100TK stated in the name). The manufacturer model is A118929SP and SKU 000-441252ASP; manufacturer ESSVE.

How does the WAF profile differ from a standard wood screw?

The WAF profile delivers a larger bearing area and an optimized thread shape that reduces pull-up and improves holding power. Combined with the large low-profile head, it provides higher clamping force than standard wood screws.

Do I need to pre-drill for this screw in hardwood?

The cutting edge and flute threads on the 70 mm length ease driving, but for very hard hardwoods it is advisable to pre-drill a pilot hole to prevent splitting. Pre-drilling is generally not required for softwoods.

Is this screw suitable for joining materials of different thickness and how should the head be positioned?

Yes, the large bearing head and strong holding power make it suitable for joining parts of different thicknesses. The low-profile head should be countersunk flush or slightly embedded to provide even clamping.

What tool and speed should I use to avoid stripping the TX drive when driving?

Use a quality TX30 bit and a driver with torque control — a cordless screwdriver at medium speed and torque. If you encounter high resistance, reduce speed and ensure the bit is well supported to prevent stripping the drive.
