Frequently asked questions about the DOOR NUMBER 5 PISLA HELKUR KOLLANE 17cm
What is DOOR NUMBER 5 PISLA HELKUR KOLLANE 17cm and where is it used?
DOOR NUMBER 5 PISLA HELKUR KOLLANE 17cm is a 17 cm high water‑ and weather‑resistant self‑adhesive yellow PVC number with a strong reflective surface. Use it for visible marking of your house, mailbox, rubbish bin or garage door.
What are the size and material of this number?
The DOOR NUMBER 5 PISLA HELKUR KOLLANE 17cm has a digit height of 17 cm and is made from durable self‑adhesive PVC film that is water‑ and weather‑resistant.
Is this self‑adhesive number suitable for outdoor winter use?
Yes. The DOOR NUMBER 5 PISLA HELKUR KOLLANE 17cm uses water‑ and weather‑resistant PVC so it is suitable for outdoor winter use; clean and dry the surface before application to ensure good adhesion.
What surfaces can I stick the number to (paint, metal, plastic)?
You can apply the DOOR NUMBER 5 PISLA HELKUR KOLLANE 17cm to smooth, dry surfaces such as painted doors, metal, plastic and glass. Adhesion will be poorer on highly porous or dusty surfaces; cleaning and priming improves bond.
How do I apply the self‑adhesive number so it lasts longer?
Clean and dry the surface, remove grease and dust; peel the backing and press the number from centre to edges. Avoid applying in very cold conditions and allow several hours for the adhesive to set.
How visible is the reflective surface in the dark?
The strong reflective yellow surface of the DOOR NUMBER 5 PISLA HELKUR KOLLANE 17cm significantly improves visibility under car headlights or torchlight, making the digit easier to read at night.
Is this number suitable for a mailbox and rubbish bin?
Yes. The DOOR NUMBER 5 PISLA HELKUR KOLLANE 17cm is water‑ and weather‑resistant and self‑adhesive, making it suitable for visible marking of mailboxes and rubbish bins.
Can the number be re‑applied if it was stuck on incorrectly?
You can remove and re‑apply it, but adhesion will be reduced. Carefully remove adhesive residue, clean the surface, and consider a new self‑adhesive film or primer to restore reliable bonding.
How long does the reflective effect last and will the colour fade?
The reflective surface is PVC designed for outdoor use, so the reflection and bright yellow colour remain for a long time under normal weather conditions. Prolonged exposure to aggressive chemicals may degrade the effect.
How does model A168873SP differ from other Pisla door numbers?
Model A168873SP is a self‑adhesive yellow reflective PVC number, 17 cm high, focused on visibility and outdoor use. Other Pisla models may differ in size, colour or fixing method (e.g. screw fixings instead of self‑adhesive).
